My career in the pool industry began in 1977 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, in commercial swimming pool construction, and I have spent my life adding new skills and knowledge each day. Over the years, I have accrued a vast amount of experience involving every facet of pool construction and repair. I enjoy working outdoors versus working at a desk, but most of all, I enjoy meeting and bringing joy to our many customers. The most important things in my life are my family, which includes my wife, daughter, and pets (not necessarily in that order, lol)
I love to vacation in the mountains, grill for family and friends, play golf, and simply relax.
Despite being born in the Northeast, I have spent the bulk of my youth and adulthood in Florida and NC. I married a Yankee who is an Aussie. My proudest accomplishment is my daughter, who is beginning her second year of medical school.
Caleb Smith Repair Technician
Caleb is a Charlotte native, having lived in the area his whole life. A homebody at heart, Caleb rarely travels and prefers spending most of his time at home with his cat, Strider, hosting events with Friends, or spending time with his family. He shows a huge passion for crafting; he is rarely able to keep his hands still unless they're holding whichever book he is working his way through that week. After finishing high school, Caleb decided to forgo college and move directly into the workforce. He started his career at Carolina Pool King at 18 years old and has stayed with the company for the last 10 years. Caleb is dedicated to providing the best service possible to customers and finds the most satisfaction in quickly and efficiently resolving all issues a customer may have. From teaching someone the ins and outs of their pool functions to upgrading equipment, Caleb is never seen giving anything less than 100%.
Kattia Olivas King Owner
I was born into a long line of hardworking farmers on a modest farm. Since I was young I have loved being outside and working with my hands. Initially, I intended to study political science, but fate eventually led me to enter the pool industry. Since 2005, I have immersed myself in this industry, and my devotion to this field led me to establish Carolina Pool King in 2007. With a vision and determination, we have thrived and innovated our business, a testament to our work ethic and dedication to our valued customers. In addition to my passion for this work, I deeply cherish my employees and their dedication and hard work, which are essential to fueling our success. I split my time between Charlotte and Las Vegas with my incredible husband, two amazing children, and my crazy sheepadoodle: Charlotte.
Gabby Brice Operations Manager
Gabby joined the Carolina Pool King team in 2017. Driven by her passions for chemistry and helping others, Gabby quickly found a home in our company that values both. Starting as the main assistant to Kattia King, she has since cultivated a strong professional and personal relationship with her. Gabby’s professional motivation stems from customer satisfaction, constantly seeking ways to improve based on their feedback. Her vision is to expand in the Charlotte area prioritizing customer needs above all else. Raised in York, South Carolina, by attorney parents, gabby embodies values of truth, integrity, and community care installed by her upbringing, graduating from Fort Mill High School and attended the University of South Carolina, with a commitment to paying forward the support she received.
MORGAN FAGG EXECUTIVE OFFICE ASSISTANT
Morgan is a West Virginia Native but has lived in several different states including Virginia, Georgia, and now North Carolina. She loves to travel with her spouse Cory, and experience new places. She has 1 dog named Hank who is a Golden Shephard that she is crazy dog mom obsessed with. She has a passion for all things pools and giving our customers the very best customer service possible. When she’s not attending to our amazing customers every pool need you can find her out walking the greenways with Cory and Hank, reading a novel, shopping for home décor, trying out every espresso martini in Queen City to find the best one, trying out new local food spots, singing her best country karaoke songs, visiting her beloved home state and the beautiful mountains of WV, or laying on the couch binging a new reality tv show. She is a great asset to our company, and we greatly appreciate all her laughs and the good vibes she brings with her to the office every day!
Alyviarose Jackson SERVICE MANAGER ASSTANT & BILLING
Alyvia was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. She recently relocated to Charlotte with her family. After graduating from high school, she enlisted in the military and served for a few years. Through her years of service, she honed not only her skills but also her unwavering dedication to duty and camaraderie. She loves animals, the outdoors, all things girly and beauty, and reading in her free time. She also enjoys taking her boxer Bella to various parks and trails in Charlotte and staying active. She can be seen out reading a good book at the park, relaxing in her car listening to music playing, working out at the gym, and hanging out with her sisters and family. When she’s in the office, she is busy assisting with our customers’ billing and payment needs and being a total mathematician and accounting wizard. She keeps our billing department running smoothly, efficiently, and in tip-top shape! We greatly appreciate and enjoy having her on the team!
